Premenstrual Syndrome

by CannaMed on September 17, 2023

Premenstrual Syndrome, or PMS, refers to the irritability, emotional tension, anxiety, depression, headaches, and physical discomfort that often occurs several days before the onset of menstruation. Anecdotal evidence suggests that cannabis use may reduce pain in severe cases of PMS.

Menstrual cramps and other symptoms of severe physical discomfort often associated with menstruation have been successfully relieved by marijuana, as reported by several contemporary researchers and thousands of women. Historical medical literature abounds with specific references repeated in many diverse cultures for almost five thousand years. However, the male-dominated power structure of the current US government remains unlikely to grant serious consideration to the use of cannabis in treating this gender-specific condition.
